Sciton Forever Clear BBL acne treatment is Sciton’s proprietary, broad-band light procedure for clear, healthy skin. This pulsed-light device clears breakouts and stubborn acne with a blue light (420 nm) to target bacteria and yellow light to address post-acne redness.

Sciton Forever Clear BBL delivers light therapy to specifically address the appearance of aging, including age spots, freckles, and sun damage. Patients who experience small facial vessels and/or rosacea find BBL HERO to be an effective treatment for diffusing redness, reducing small vascular lesions, and smoothing the skin.

Before your Sciton Forever Clear BBL treatment, you need to prepare your skin. It’s important that your skin is not tanned. Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for 4 to 6 weeks before and after each session. Don’t use sunless tanner for at least two weeks before your treatment.

Twice daily use of a bland moisturizer such as CeraVe, Neutrogena, Purpose, Aveeno, or similar is recommended during the first week to keep the skin lubricated. Avoid use of topical skin care products containing retin-A, retinol, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid for 1 week.

Some need monthly Sciton Forever Clear BBL treatments, while others require touch-up treatments every six months. All patients can expect to see a significant improvement in their acne after completing a package of Sciton Forever Clear BBL™ treatments.

Before your Treatment

  • AVOID tanning; natural, spray tan, and all other self-tanners.
  • 1 WEEK BEFORE treatment, avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, or any anti-aging products.
  • AVOID bleaching, waxing, tweezing, or using depilatory creams in the treatment area.
  • Use sunscreen with UVA/UVB protection with SPF 30 or higher.
  • If you have a history of Herpes or cold sores, a course of anti-viral medication before and after treatment is required. Please call our office for a prescription.

AFTERCARE

After Your Treatment

  • Use plain, lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser to wash your skin 2x daily. Use your hands and fingertips to cleanse.
  • DO NOT rub, scrub, or use an exfoliant or skincare brush such as a Clarisonic on the treated area.
  • Moisturizer should be applied generously with clean hands over the treated area and reapplied whenever your skin feels dry.
  • Use sunscreen with UVA/UVB protection with SPF 30 or higher.
